The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has mandated that all employers who transport goods in a truck with a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds or more, or transport hazardous materials must implement and maintain a DOT drug and alcohol program.  Maintenance of the program includes pre-employment, random, post accident, reasonable suspicion, and follow-up testing.  In addition, employers must perform employee awareness training, supervisor training and employer background checks for previous drug and alcohol usage.

O.M. Management, Inc. can assist your company in maintaining your Drug and Alcohol program by providing oversight in the areas of covered employee lists, performing random testing, training and guidance for the drug program manager.  In addition, we contract with the laboratory for testing, Medical Review Officers for result verification, the collection sites who take the samples, as well as doctors offices who can perform DOT physical exams anywhere in the country.  To solve your post accident and after hours testing needs, we provide nationwide on-site collection for Post Accidents and after hours testing.

We also provide DMV background checks for employers who want a one stop shop for all of their hiring and maintenance needs.

Our program includes:

  • Preparation of the Company’s FMSCA’s Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Policy Manual.
  • Two Hour Drug & Alcohol Program Manager training course
  • Contract with the SAMSHA certified laboratory
  • Contract with a Medical Review Officer (MRO)
