A DOT drug test is specific to the transportation industry. In 1989 the Federal Government mandated that all Aviation, Trucking, Transit, Rail, Pipeline, Research and Special Projects and Marine entities implement a DOT drug testing program for all Safety Sensitive employees. In 1994, testing was expanded to include alcohol. Employers under this mandate must implement a program that includes Pre-Employment, Random, Reasonable Suspicion, Return to Duty and Follow-up testing and it must be preformed on a “Federal Custody and Control Form” also known as a DOT drug test form. Each DOT modality has requirements and regulations that must be followed to stay in compliance. The specifics of the programs are outlined in 49 CFR Par 40 of the Federal Register. The regulations are further refined to meet the differences in the specific modality. Random selections are available through one of our Compliance Account setups. Just select the button that fits your Department of Transportation modality and the system will guide you through the setup process. If you are interested in setting up an account with us, click the New Account Setup button below and provide us with some preliminary information about your company. This program requires a setup fee that will be credited to your O.M.Management, Inc. account. If you have further questions feel free to contact us toll-free at (877) 700-5372 ext 113.
